Snowball is a portable data transfer device designed to operate in extreme conditions. It comes in sizes ranging from 50 terabytes to 100 terabytes and is designed to be highly durable. The device has passed rigorous tests, including an explosives test, to meet military requirements. It's used in various sectors, from oil rigs to military operations, and even in extreme environments like volcanoes.

Snowmobile: The Mack Truck of Data Transfer 🚚💾

For even larger data transfer needs, Amazon introduced Snowmobile, a truck that can carry up to 100 petabytes of data. It's essentially a data center on wheels, equipped with its own power and cooling systems. Once the data transfer is complete, the truck is escorted by an armed guard back to Amazon's data centers, where the data is decrypted and validated.
